We are a coaching/consulting business based in Dunedin, New Zealand, servicing all of New Zealand. Our aim is to support you in successfully managing your own home design and build. Our goal is to provide you with the most simple stress-free process to project manage your own home build and to support you through this by providing feedback and advice that is tailor made to your situation.
Jake Kennedy - Managing director and coach
Jake is a construction expert with over 18 years of experience in residential construction. He holds a Certificate in Construction, a Diploma in Construction Management and is a Licenced Building Practitioner. He has owned and operated his own construction company for 7 years, where he managed and built over 26 new homes from scratch. Jake has also been a project manager for one of the major group housing companies, managing up to 12 houses at a time, including pricing and consent work. In his spare time, Jake has built and managed 3 family homes, currently building his fourth. You could say he's a little bit obsessed with building new homes. His experience and passion for seeing other people achieve their dreams of building has led him to refine the process into its simplest form which is- Build Your Own Way.
